International Olympics Committee Donates to Refugees

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees-UNHCR has hailed the International Olympic Committee-IOC- for its role in promoting sport as a tool for social change.

UNHCR Country Representative Joyce Mends-Cole says the IOC has been consistent in promoting health and general recreation, a role which is cardinal in changing lives.

The Country Representative was speaking when the IOC, represented by Clement Chileshe, made a presentation of sports kit to refugees in Zambia.

Chileshe says the committee will continue partnering with refugees in order to promote togetherness.
