Zambians should brace themselves for increased load shedding for the next 48 hours.

This is according to information from ZESCO’s public relations unit.

In a message to its customers, Zesco’s public relations unit says there will be increased load shedding following a fault at its Kafue Gorge Power Station.

The emergency load shedding will affect most parts of the country hence it is anticipated that businesses will be affected as the power utility company struggles to restore normal power generation.

This comes barely a fortnight ago when a generator that was due to be commissioned at Kariba North Bank got burnt when undergoing tests by technicians from a named French company, hence causing a further extension of the load shedding exercise.
