Lusaka Bus Operators Increase Bus Fares

Bus fares on all routes in Lusaka have been increased by Six Hundred Kwacha.

Bus operators have resolved to effect the increment following consultations.

Capital Buses proprietor, Ishmael Kankara says the move is with immediate effect and in line with the guidelines of the operations.

And Mr. Kankara has castigated some Non-Governmental Organizations for allegedly causing antagonism in the way bus operators conduct their business.

He has also clarified that the hike in bus fares is directly related to the issue surrounding the introduction of the minimum wage because the company has complied and the move is aimed at paying his workers the new salaries.
