US bound Zambian soccer coaches and young leaders have camped in Lusaka ahead of their departure on Tuesday for the US-Zambia soccer exchange program.
The project is sponsored by the Meridian International Center in collaboration with Outreach Community Athletic Foundation and the US government.
Among the young leaders and coaches travelling are women national soccer team coach Enala Simbeya and Copperbelt based coach Leah Namukonde.
The goal of this project is to foster mutual understanding and respect between Community Sport Coaches and Leaders in Zambia and the U.S. by empowering them with the skills necessary to become civic leaders in a globalized world.
Twelve participants have been chosen from four target Zambian provinces Northern, Southern, Copperbelt and Lusaka.
