High intake of a local brew known as Kachasu is retarding productivity in Mwata kazembe’s village of the Lunda people of Luapula Province.

Mwata Kazembe the 19th has disclosed that some villagers have been shunning farming activities because of indulging in kachasu-drinking sprees.

He has since urged government to ban the brew as it did with Tujilijili.
