The 2012 London Olympic Games have continued to be a nightmare for Zambia, while African countries are also struggling to grab medals at the biggest world summer event.

Zambia has seen five of the small contingent of seven athletes ejected out of the competition, following Chaoness Choosha’s exit on Friday morning.

Choosha improved her personal best record of twelve point two-nine seconds, but she could not break the first round, after finishing overall 11th out of 32 athletes.

Fade hopes now lies in Gerald Phiri and Prince Mumba to help in saving Zambia’s face. As regards to the African continent, South Africa has three gold medals while Egypt has one silver medal.
