International Planned Parenthood Federation –IPPF-, the mother body of Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia, has pledged to support government through its fight on gender based violence.

Country Representative, Leonard Zondesa, says the Federation is committed to improve the lives of people through provision and campaigning of sexual reproductive health.

Mr. Zondesa says genders based violence adversely affects the physical and emotional health of victims. He was speaking when he toured some of the projects in Fiwale resettlement in Masaiti District on the Copperbelt.

And Masaiti maternal Health District Coordinator, Angela Ikowa, says access to effective health systems will result in reduction of maternal mortality rate in the Country.
