Owners of Demolished Garden House, Structures Reconstruct

Residents of Lusaka’s garden house area whose houses where demolished in September have started reconstructing their structures.
The affected families have vowed to go on with the reconstruction exercise saying the demolition was not done in good faith.
They said from the time their houses where brought down, many of them have been spending nights in the cold.
Meanwhile one Man was found moving around with household goods in search of accommodation.
And Kanyama Member of parliament Colonel Gerry Chanda has sympathized with the residents saying the only unfortunate part is that the demolition was done under a Court order.
He has, however, appealed to the owner of the Land in question to avail himself to his office so that they can dialogue over the matter to avoid any confrontation.
