Producers of Fake Maize Seed Arrested

A trick in which a manufacturing company of Lusaka’s Kamwala South is allegedly producing fake maize seed has been exposed.

Three men who were found conducting the illegal business have been arrested by police.

They were found making counterfeit seedco and MRI maize seed.

Some red concoction used in colouring the seed was found in a 2.5 liter container.

The men were also found in possession of leaflets which they used to put inside the bags of seed to show that they are certified products when in fact not.
