15 Year Old Boy Electrocuted

A 15 Year old boy of Lusaka’s Johnlaing compound has been electrocuted after allegedly tampering with naked wires near a ZESCO pole line.

The boy has been identified as Franco Phiri by her elder sister, Beauty Phiri.

Ms. Phiri says the incident happened near her shop along mumbwa road when she sent her brother to buy food.

She claims that the main power supply line near her shop has naked wires.

Meanwhile ZESCO Managing Director, Cyprian Chitundu has expressed sadness over the death of the child.

Mr. Chitundu has directed engineers at the power utility firm to investigate the matter.
