Just exactly eight months remaining before Zambia co-hosts with Zimbabwe the United Nations World Tourism Organisation-UNWTO conference, stakeholders say preparations to stage a gathering of such a magnitude are below par.

Tourism Council of Zambia president Felix Mulenga told MUVI TV Business News that Zambia could have done better in making Livingstone the hosting City, ready.

Mr Mulenga says construction project to put up a world class conference facility in Livingstone has failed to take shape.

The Tourism Council of Zambia president estimates that Zambia may only account for 20 per cent of the accrued benefits from the UNWTO conference.
