South African High Commissioner to Zambia Moses Chikane has hailed his country’s four one victory against Zambia’s Shepolopolo girls in the first leg of the 2012 Women’s Africa Cup soccer qualifiers.
Chikane says Zambia’s lack of experience paid the price against an efficient Banyana Banyana who eased past through the Enala Simbeye drilled side.
He says there is a lot that Zambia needs to work on to match South Africa’s experience, which he described as excellent.
He has singled out Captain Kabange Mupopo as the brightest player in the Zambian team for showing zeal and character.
On Saturday, the Shepolopolo girls succumbed to a four one bashing against Banyana Banyana in the first leg of the 2012 Women’s Africa Cup qualifiers.
After the match, Zambian fans staged a peaceful protest calling on Coach Enala Simbeye to resign as she has failed to deliver.
