Over 50 Die in Chibombo Accident Horror

Over 50 people have died in Chibombo district, Central province, after a Post Bus from the Copperbelt collided head on with a truck which was coming from Lusaka.
Close to 70 people were on the Post Bus registration number ABV 4020 with the Congolese truck’s registration number is 1793 AB 05.
A Muvi TV News Crew which rushed to the scene found bodies piled on a Zambia Railways truck. The bodies of the truck driver and his lorry mate that were trapped have since been retrieved.
Some of the injured were rushed to Kabwe General Hospital, Liteta hospital and the University Teaching hospital.
Home affairs Deputy Minister Stephen Kampyomgo and Central Province Minister Philip Kosamu who were both at the accident scene described it as a tragedy for the nation.
