 University of Zambia (UNZA) Pacers and Shells basketball teams are the Champions of the 2009 Zambia Basketball Association-ZBA National Championship.UNZA Pacers who are also 2009 ZBA Southern League Champions beat NAPSA Hurricanes by 89 baskets to 85 in a tightly contested man’s second final played at the National Sports Development Center (NASDEC) in Lusaka on Saturday. In the women’s category, Shells beat Green Buffaloes by 82 baskets to 76. This means the two clubs will represent Zambia at the Zone Six Championship. Meanwhile Heroes who Play United also maintained a place in the Senior Southern League after trouncing Magic by 105 baskets to 55 in relegation final. |
