Parliamentarian Advises Police To Be Serious On Arms Amnesty Programme

A Parliamentarian has called on the Zambia Police Service to come up with a more vigorous approach in the arms amnesty programme. Gerry Chanda of Kanyama Constituency in Lusaka has expressed fears that criminals are making huge sums of money with illegal fire arms hence the arms amnesty might be a flop. Mr. Chanda cited the security operations which were dubbed clean up operations during the Kaunda regime saying it was more practical and beneficial to the community.
