SMEs Create 70% Employment

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are said to be providing about 70 percent of employment in Zambia.
However, certain policies have hampered their growth.
The Federation of Small Scale Mining Association of Zambia has cited disparities in the exploration charge between SMEs and large mining firms.
Federation President Pauline Mundia has called on government to address this as it does not favor SMEs who are major economic contributors.
