Confusion Characterizes Simataa’s Suspension

Category: Sport
10/03/2010
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Executive has been split further following confusion surrounding the suspension of Zambia Football Coaches Association General Secretary Simataa Simattaa.
This follows latest developments in which disciplinary Committee Vice-Chairperson Anthony Kasolo has contradicted his boss, Sunday Nkonde.
Kasolo maintains that Simataa’s suspension still stands while Nkonde has since stated that the suspension is null and void.

And one of the Disciplinary Committee members, Opper Hamiyanzi has urged his chairperson Sunday Nkonde to resign following his stance on Simataa.
Hamiyanzi further claims the disciplinary committee did not sit to discuss the matter thus Nkonde has no powers to nullify the executive committee’s decision.
