President Sata Mourns Chibombo Accident Victims

ZAMPOST ACCIDENT NDOLARepublican president, Michael Sata was among hundreds of mourners witnessing the mass burial of the post bus accident victims.

The procession started with viewing of bodies by relatives of the deceased at Saint Ann’s ambassador funeral Home.

Meanwhile, as the bodies were being ferried to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for a session, Business came to a standstill, as Ndola residents lined up in the streets in grief to pay their last respects.

Most of the residents, including motorists could not help but break down, as the caskets were ferried to the stadium in Zambia Army Trucks.

During the session at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, President Sata, accompanied by First lady Dr. Christine Kaseba, consoled the bereaved families.

The President has also condemned continued reckless driving which he says poses risks to other innocent road users.

President Sata has since called on Authorities to bring defaulting motorists to book.

A mass burial of Twenty three Ndola Accident Victims took place at Ndola’s Mitengo Cemetery.

The twenty three were among other victims who perished in the fatal accident involving a post bus last Thursday. Over 50 people perished in the road traffic accident involving a post bus and a truck. The accident occurred at John Chinena in Chibombo district, Central province.
