ZBS Signs MOU on Standardization

The Zambia Bureau of Standards and Zambia Association of Manufacturers-ZAM- have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve standardization of products on the market.

Witnessing the signing ceremony, Commerce, Trade and Industry deputy minister Keith Mukata says quality goods and services are key to economic development.

And Zambia Bureau of Standards board chairperson, David Nama says the institution cannot achieve the improvement of quality of products in isolation.

Meanwhile, Zambia Association of Manufacturers president Chance Kabaye said his association stands ready to work with ZABS to improve standardization of locally produced goods and services.Kindly note that all comments will be reviewed for appropriate content.
