Times Of Zambia Workers Go Four Months Unpaid

The Zambia Union of Journalists-ZUJ-has accused Management at Times of Zambia of intimidation aimed at weakening the union.
This follows management’s decision to transfer some union leaders to other towns and effect departmental changes.
The affected union officials were early this year suspended for allegedly spearheading a workers protest over unpaid salaries.
ZUJ President Shamaoma Musonda has described the decision Management as an act of intimidation and an attempt to silence the union.
Meanwhile, workers at the state owned institution are in four months’ salary arrears.
