United Progressive Party Leader Savior Chishimba has urged President Edgar Lungu to intervene in a scandal where maize was allegedly sold to a Malawian company while government officials allegedly claim it was a government to government transaction.
According to Dr. Chishimba the deal involves over 34.5 Million United States Dollars where maize was corruptly sold to a private company under the pretext that the transaction is between the Government of the Republic of Zambia and Malawi when in fact not.
The UPP leader has since given government a seven-day ultimatum to clarify on the matter without which he will expose more details and take legal action on behalf of the Zambians.
He was speaking to MUVI TV NEWS in an interview.
