Suspected thieves have begun posing as officials from various utility companies in a bid to gain access to houses of unsuspecting Lusaka residents.
A case in point is the one reported around Fairview area where some suspected thieves posed as Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company officials planning to disjoin a water meter.
However, a maid at the house in question was quick to tell the suspects that she had to consult her boss by phone, the move which saw the impostors flee.
The owner of the house in question who declined to be identified says such people must be brought to book as they are a danger to society.
