Over Twenty Eight houses have collapsed in Luswishi ward in Mpongwe district following a heavy downpour in the area.
Luswishi Ward Councilor, Living Kalima, says the floods have affected maize fields and a health post.
Mr. Kalima says Luswishi middle basic school is cracked and toilets at the school have been flooded posing a health risk to pupils and teachers.
He has appealed to the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit to come to the aid of people in the ward.
