Zambians living in South Africa this morning gathered at the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria, to protest against the Zambian government’s decision to bar South African Opposition leader Mmusi Maimane from entering Zambia.
Maimane, the Democratic Alliance-DA leader was on Thursday briefly held at Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport before being told to return home.
He had travelled to Zambia to attend UPND President Hakainde Hichilema’s alleged treason court case.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s high commissioner to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba has justified the action to bar Mr. Maimane from visiting Mr Hichilema.
