President Edgar Lungu says he has information that has implicated some of his ministers of having been involved in corrupt activities.Mr Lungu has since warned that he will soon fire the said ministers.
Speaking when he swore-in newly appointed Ministers, Mr Lungu expressed grave concern with the increasing levels of corruption in the public service.
The President has further questioned the capability of the Anti-corruption Commission-ACC which has also challenged not to wait for instructions from anyone for them to investigate senior government officials.
Those sworn-in include Matthew Nkhuwa as Minister of Works and Supply replacing Ronald Chitotela who has been transferred to the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development in the same capacity.
Others are Freedom Sikazwe as Minister Presidential Affairs at State House, Sylvia Chalikosa as Minister-office of the Vice President, Lloyd Kaziya as Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister and Reverend Godfridah Sumaili as Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs.
