Body Found With Missing Private Parts While In Hospital Mortuary

A family of Kaoma has refused to bury a dead relative after discovering that some private parts are missing from the body in the mortuary.
The body of 50-year-old Kanyanga Mulundu who died on Wednesday November 2, 2016 is still lying in Kaoma District Hospital Mortuary.
Mulundu was supposed to be buried on Friday last week but the family decided to put the burial on hold after it was realised that the deceased’s eye was plucked out.
The family requested for a post-mortem to ascertain what happened to the missing body parts.
On Monday November 7, 2016 it was also established that Mulundu’s private parts were allegedly tempered with while in the mortuary.
Family Sources say the Doctor who checked the body claimed that the private parts missing on Mulundu’s body were eaten by rats.
Meanwhile, Western Province Police Commissioner Charles Lungu says investigations have been instituted in the matter.
