National team coach Wedson Nyirenda says Chipolopolo team skipper Rainford Kalaba has what it takes to win the CAF Africa based African player of the year award.
Nyirenda says Kalaba`s Consistence can help win the award ahead of four Mamelody Sundown players who are among the five players hoping to win the award.
He adds that if a team can have more players like Kalaba it motivates the coach to also work extra hard.
The thirty year old led TP Mazembe to CAF confederations Cup triumph.
Kalaba scored a brace in the final to take his tally to seven goals and topped the scoring charts despite playing in the flanks.
He is up against Sundowns Foursome of Khams Biliat, Keagan Dolly, Hlompho Kekana and goal keeper Denis Onyango.
