Ex-Cabinet PS Abandons Bail Application

Former Cabinet Permanent Secretary Annie Sinyangwe has abandoned her bail application at the Lusaka magistrate court.
Mrs. Sinyangwe was jailed one year for willfully and consciously awarding a contract to Moonstone Investment Limited to pave cabinet offices car park without following procedure has opted to serve her jail term.
The decision has been arrived at after thorough consultation with her husband and relatives.
Mrs. Sinyangwe’s defense lawyer Nicholas says her client cannot renew the bail application as she has served part of her sentence.
