Govt To Screen Foreign Preachers – Rev Sumaili

Revered Godfridah Sumaili has announced that government will start screening what she has termed foreign missionaries.
Revered Sumaili says some of the preachers have questionable backgrounds and reputation.
She has further advised foreign missionaries to respect the sovereignty of Zambia adding that her ministry will ensure that there is sanity in the religious circles.
And Anglican Bishop of Eastern Zambia, William Muchombo has advised foreign missionaries to seek audience with government and avoid engaging in confrontation.
Bishop Muchombo has also expressed concern that some clergymen have taken the church into a business by extorting money from Christians.
The duo was speaking at Anglican Church offices in Chipata when Reverend Sumaili paid a courtesy call on the Bishop.
Earlier, she held a meeting with Bishop George Lungu.
