The Zambian media fraternity has recounted the persecution against Journalists during the run up to the August 2016 General elections.
Speaking during the Press Freedom Day, Chairperson of the 2017 Organising Committee, Enock Ngoma, says the media fraternity suffered political abuse and state intimidation, with some broadcast media houses having their licences revoked.
The media has also recounted how the print media such as the Post Newspapers also suffered heavy losses and the beating up of two Chipata Journalists Kelvin Phiri and Peter Sukwa from Feel Free Radio and The Post Newspapers.
