Pressure is mounting on Chipangali Member of Parliament, Vincent Mwale as people are demanding the whereabouts of a Water Drilling Rig which was purchased using Constituency Development Fund-CDF in 2012.
A Civil Society Organization that supported the purchase of the machine using the entire 2012 CDF now wants to know the whereabouts of the equipment.
This came to light during a Chipata District Development Committee meeting.
And Chipata District Commissioner, Kalunga Zulu failed to respond and opted to contact area Member of Parliament Vincent Mwale who distanced himself suggesting that the Provincial office was responsible.
But Eastern Province Permanents Secretary, Chanda Kasolo has distanced his office from the matter and says the Chipata City Council is responsible and should make a follow up.
Mr. Kasolo has further disclosed that there were irregularities regarding the purchase of the same equipment.
