Former Lusaka Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta and his co accused have been acquitted by the Lusaka high court.
And Mwaliteta’s daughter Melissa collapsed after her father was acquitted.
In his ruling High Court Judge Mwape Bowa says the evidence adduced by the prosecution does not warrant any reasonable tribunal to safely convict the accused.
Mwaliteta and four others were facing three charges of aggravated robbery.
They are alleged to have stolen election materials, a blackberry phone valued at K4,000 and a handbag and K350 cash from Roy Kuseka,Elina Nyirenda and Emmanuel Simbeye who were transporting the election materials from ZAF city airport to the totaling center.
