Over 117 members of staff at Nkwame Nkrumah University have lost their jobs.
This comes after their positions were declared vacant and will be advertised soon.
Addressing members of staff, University Registrar, Gubula Siachiti says the Ministry of Higher Education has declared 83 academic lecturers and 38 support staff under the Ministry of General Education jobs vacant.
He says all affected members of staff will have to apply for their positions once advertised.
Lectures and management at the institution are engaged in standoff which led to the indefinite closure of the institution on Monday 12th February, 2018.
