Water Crisis Deepens In Lusaka

A critical water shortage has persisted in most parts of Lusaka.
Kalingalinga Residents say the problem has resulted in children missing classes as they spend much of the time in search of the commodity.
They have therefore called on the water utility to look quickly address the problem.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Public Relations Manager Patson Phiri says the current water shortage is due to maintenance works at Iolanda Water Treatment Plant in Kafue.
Mr Phiri says parts of Lusaka supplied from the plant will continue to experience erratic water supply until Wednesday 21 March.
