Parley dissolution saddens some reitirees

Former Local Authorities Superannuation Fund workers are saddened that parliament has dissolved at a time when their benefits have not been paid.

Workers’ representative Godfrey Ndalima says the workers were promised to be paid their benefits before the dissolution but are now in the dark over what will happen next.

Mr. Ndalima has since called on president Edgar Lungu to show leadership by facilitating for their benefits which they have been chasing for four years.

He adds that Mr. Lungu can come up with initiatives such as his market loan empowerment scheme to address their concerns.
