Clubfoot Disease Hits Mwense Children

Clubfoot disease has hit the children of Mwense District of Luapula Province.
However, treatment for the children has become a challenge due to resistance by some parents who suspect their children can be use in Satanism.
Clubfoot is a congenital deformity involving one foot or both whose effects appear to have been rotated internally at the ankle.
A check by MUVI TV NEWS at Mambilima Mission reveals that only a handful of Children are being treated by Voluntary Doctors from the United States of America and China.
Parents and guardians spoken to stated that the disease has become common amongst children and have since called for urgent intervention by relevant authorities.
And a volunteer Ivo Mwansa who is tasked to identify children hit by the same disease says there is a lot of resistance from the communities who suspect their children can be use in Satanism.
An American Professor in Clinical Care at Lumar Linda University Dr. Natin Shah has observed that the disease has become common in Zambia, hence the need for urgent treatment.
