French Power Firm Coming To Zambia

A French electricity firm has expressed interest to invest in Zambia focusing on opportunities in conventional hydro and other related hydro and solar projects.
A delegation from Electricity of France-EDF-is therefore scheduled to visit Zambia from 4th to 7th October, 2016.
EDF has identified Zambia as one of the priority countries for investment in the Southern Africa.
EDF is a French electric utility company, largely owned by the French state headquartered in Paris, France, with over 65.2 EUROS billion in revenues.
The visit is a follow-up on the official visit by President, Edgar Lungu when he met French investors and encouraged them to consider investing in Zambia in February this year.
This is contained in a statement made available to MUVI TV News by First Secretary Tourism at the ZAMBIAN EMBASSY in PARIS, Percy Ngwira.
