ZANACO Storms Top 8 Finals

Zanaco Football club have reached the finals of the 2016 Top eight competition after whitewashing Nkana 4-nil at Arthur Davies stadium in Kitwe.
The Bankers lived up to their sensational name in front of mixed supporters to question Nkana’s seriousness in the only cup competition in Zambia.
Richard Kasonde opened the floodgates for Zanaco and striker Aubrey Funga made sure the Lusaka based club carried a 2-nil lead going into break.
After the break, Nkana regrouped but were guilty of missed chances through Ronald Kampamba and Bornwell Mwape.
It was a different story for Zanaco who had an eye for goal and it was Fashion Sakala who fired passed hapless goalkeeper, Scott Ngokene.

Funga scored his second and Zanaco’s fourth goal of the game which forced Nkana supporters to throw missiles on the pitch before police restored sanity.
Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba described his boys performance as extraordinary and is confident that his team will scoop the competition.
