CCPC Worried By Continued Unfair Trading In School Uniforms

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission CCPC has frowned at schools that are forcing parents and guardians to buy school uniforms from them at exorbitant prices.
The Commission says the practice is unfair.
CCPC has since warned such schools saying active investigations have been launched.
Some schools are tying school places to buying of the uniforms at the same school, a situation which is unfair and against the law as it limits consumer choices.
The Commission also says this situation is likely to cause inflation of uniform prices.
