Chikowa Dam Construction Nears Completion

The construction of the Chikowa dam is nearing completion
The project being funded by the World Bank is worth more than 1.4 Million United States Dollars.
Construction started in June 2016.
The project is aimed at improving water availability for livestock, Irrigation and fish farming in Chief Jumbe’s area of Mambwe district of Eastern Province.
Ministry of Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection Permanent Secretary, Bishop Eddy Chomba inspected the site and is happy with the progress.
