Number of Students Awarded Bursaries Too Minimal-UNZASU

University of Zambia students Union-UNZASU says the number of students that have been awarded bursaries does not reflect the current poverty statistics in the country.
UNZASU Acting President Piyo Mdhlovu says much as the union appreciates government’s efforts to sponsor some students, the number of successful applicants is minimal.
Mr Ndhlovu has since urged government to consider increasing the number of students on the loan scheme.
Two Thousand and Nine applicants have been awarded bursaries out of the Four Thousand, Four hundred and Eleven who applied for government sponsorship.
