The National Olympic Committee-NOC- has introduced a new sport to the Zambian circles.
Teqball is a ball sport that resembles table tennis, but is played on a curved table with a size 4 ball similar to a football, and players can hit the ball with any part of the body except the hands.
It can be played for a maximum of 50mins and the scoring system is similar to table-tennis.
Teqball Federation interim President, Dickson Jere, says the sport will provide career opportunities for young players.
He says the Federation will provide training to both coaches and players in order to ensure that the sport flourishes.
And the Teqball Africa Cup is scheduled for later this year, while the world Cup is scheduled for Budapest in December.
