Government Set To Launch The 2020/23 Economic Recovery Program Post Covid-19

President Edgar Lungu is in the coming weeks scheduled to launch the Economic Recovery Programme for Zambia which will run from this year, 2020, to 2023.

Finance Minister, Bwalya Ng’andu has disclosed that the program is partly a policy response to the challenges that have been brought about by the Corona Virus in the Country.

Dr. Ng’andu states that more broadly the programme proposes measures that could drive Zambia’s economic recovery strategy beyond the Covid 19 pandemic.

Speaking in Lusaka on Friday, 11th December, 2020 during the Economics Association of Zambia annual gala dinner themed: “Building A Resilience Economy Post Covid 19,” Dr. Ng’andu said his trust is therefore that launching the said programme, will not only attract passing interest but will be used as a document from which government can tap into as it grows the Zambian economy.
