4 UPND Officials Jointly Charged With Chief Mukuni’s Wife Plead Not Guilty

The four United Party for National Development-UPND officials jointly charged with Chief Mukuni’s wife Veronica for abduction of the Hatembo’s have pleaded not guilty.

The accused appeared for plea at the Choma magistrate court on Thursday.

This is in a case where a Choma based businessman Fines Malambo 46, is jointly charged with Ackson Sejani 63, Vincent Lilanda the mayor of Mazabuka, Choma mayor Javen Simooloka 45 and Veronica Mwanakansale Mukuni.

The five are charged with two counts of Abduction with intent to confine contrary to the laws of Zambia.

The matter has been adjourned to 6th May for mention and 17th May commencement of trial.
