UPND DISTANCES ITSELF FROM THE CADRES WHO HARASSED A POLICE OFFICE IN A VIDEO THAT HAS GONE VIRAL

Ruling united party for national development -UPND- spokesperson, Cornelius Mweetwa has maintained that the new dawn administration will not tolerate cadreism.

He says the recent video that has gone viral on social media showing some youth man handling a police officer purporting to be members of the UPND should not be taken as such because youths in the party are aware of its position on cadreism, law and order.

Mr. Mweetwa, who is also Choma Central member of parliament, has in the strongest terms condemned some police officers on the Copperbelt who disrupted opposition citizen first party leader Harry Kalaba last weekend during his visit to one of the wards on pretext that he did not get a police permit.
Meanwhile, Police have charged and arrested two suspects identified as Monday Kapobe aged forty of Garden Compound and Trust Musonda aged twenty-seven of Mandevu compound in Lusaka for the offence of assault on a Police Officer.
