“It marks the end of flooding at Kamwala South Clinic, and the beginning of more drainage projects to come”
=======================================
Kamwala Ward Councillor Mainda Simataa says he’s elated with the completion of the Paul Ngozi storm drainage project which was primarily designed to avert the annual flooding and closures that have plagued Kamwala South Health Post for many years.
The Ministry of Local Government funded project has costed an estimated K1.5 million and has taken the contractor ZNS 3 months to complete the scope of works which included construction of the main storm drainage and 4 other linked street tributary drainages all connecting to the Bombay Drainage at the junction of Paul Ngozi road and Ring Road.
Meanwhile, Kamwala Ward councillor Mainda Simataa says the completion of the drainage project is ahead of schedule, and is a milestone achievement because it officially marks the end of flooding at the Kamwala South Clinic and the beginning of more drainage and road projects to come in Kamwala Ward 5.
